I specialise in working with improving health and well-being – this could be anything from changing your relationship with food, healthy weight management, stopping smoking, breaking a habit, finding balance in your life, dealing with change or feeling more confident about a particular situation (public speaking, an interview, fear or phobia).
I have a keen interest in mindfulness, neuroscience, and behavioural studies. I draw on research in these areas to keep my approach dynamic and up to date with the latest developments.
My interest in Hypnotherapy began when I used it in my 20s to stop my heavy smoking habit. I turned to Hypnotherapy again years later to help address issues I had with public speaking. In just two sessions I went from being completely unable to speak in public to confidently giving presentations to 200 people. The impact was so powerful I wanted to find out more, so I decided to add to my Counselling skills by training as a Hypnotherapist and then later as a Coach.
During the Diploma course I had both hypnotherapy and coaching to help me with my weight struggles. I had been an unsuccessful dieter for years and found it very difficult to commit to exercise. I successfully & easily lost over 2 stone (14 kilos) & have sustained my optimum weight for nearly 5 years. I was totally amazed at my weight loss and decided I definitely wanted to help other people get free from their struggles with their weight.
I continued my training in Coaching, Psychotherapy, NLP & studied Nutrition and Well-being. Now I feel very lucky to be able to use everything I have learnt to help others achieve their goals.
My approach to helping my clients is collaborative: I will work with you to help you overcome whatever issue you need help with, and to make the changes you want in your life.
